# Zechariah 3 ## Zechariah 3:1 - [KJV] And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. - [ASV] And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary. - [YLT] And he sheweth me Joshua the high priest standing before the messenger of Jehovah, and the Adversary standing at his right hand, to be an adversary to him. ### Notes on Zechariah 3:1 - ## Zechariah 3:2 - [KJV] And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: *is* not this a brand plucked out of the fire? - [ASV] And Jehovah said unto Satan, Jehovah rebuke thee, O Satan; yea, Jehovah that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? - [YLT] And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary: 'Jehovah doth push against thee, O Adversary, Yea, push against thee doth Jehovah, Who is fixing on Jerusalem, Is not this a brand delivered from fire?' ### Notes on Zechariah 3:2 - ## Zechariah 3:3 - [KJV] Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. - [ASV] Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel. - [YLT] And Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and is standing before the messenger. ### Notes on Zechariah 3:3 - ## Zechariah 3:4 - [KJV] And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with rich apparel. - [YLT] And he answereth and speaketh unto those standing before him, saying: 'Turn aside the filthy garments from off him.'
